Personal cluster node planner

Reviewed September 7, 2026 · Independent educational resource

Build a small node inventory and compare the architecture you need. The starting values are illustrative examples, not detected hardware or benchmarks.

Node inventory

Node 1

Node 2

Up to 12 nodes. Enter system memory as an inventory note; record accelerator VRAM separately in your technical diligence.

Calculation and limits

Energy = the sum of entered average node watts × hours per day × days ÷ 1,000. Optional energy-only cost = energy × your entered price per kWh. No current hardware prices, measured benchmarks or electricity tariffs are supplied.

The scenario excludes cooling, network equipment, capital cost, maintenance and standby outside the selected hours. It does not forecast inference speed, model fit, savings or reliability. Inputs remain in page memory and clear on reload. See the compatibility guide before choosing a topology.
